Acts 435 is one of our fantastic partners here at SLRA.
Acts 435 is an online giving charity that allows people to give directly to an individual, rather than an organisation. It bridges the gap between people who want to help and those who are in need, with 100% of the donations going directly to the recipient. This is made possible by funding all organisation and administration costs with Gift Aid reclaimed on applicable donations.
By sharing the stories and specific grant requests of individuals in need, Acts 435 allows donors to choose which causes they want to support. Donors then receive thank you messages from recipients and hear about how the gift made a difference in their lives. At SLRA, we believe that these direct grant requests are a brilliant way to donate and make a significant and tangible impact on the quality of our members’ lives.
Acts 435 previously received donations for a young person supported by SLRA to purchase a bed frame and mattress for his new accommodation and fresh start. A Bolivian family seeking asylum, including a baby and a primary school aged child, also benefitted from donations while they waited for their application for financial support to be approved. These were used for food, heating, clothes, transport to attend appointments with their solicitor and travel to school.
