Our advice team is growing! We are now looking for 2 new advisors to join our committed and supportive team:
Immigration Advisor
Part-time - 3 days per week
Salary - £28,221 pro rata
We are looking for an Immigration Advisor, ideally you will be regulated to provide advice at OISC Level 2 but we will also be happy to accept applications from experienced Level 1 advisors who are willing to work quickly towards Level 2.
The Immigration Advisor will provide advice at our weekly Drop In sessions as well as some follow up casework. Experience of advising asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants who are experiencing challenging circumstances is essential.
Advice Worker
Part-time - 3 days per week
Salary - £28,221 pro rata
The Advice Worker will be responsible for the delivery of generalist advice at our weekly Drop In sessions and following up at our office. Working alongside our Advice and Casework Manager, Immigration Advisor and team of advice volunteers, the Advice Worker will support clients to positively progress with their lives through the provision of advice and casework. This will cover a broad range of issues including welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, asylum support, health as well as working to prevent or reduce the effects of destitution.
The immigration Advisor and Advice Worker will both need to have an in-depth knowledge of the issues faced by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants who are at-risk and a good understanding of the challenges faced by these groups, including destitution and inability to access services due to No Recourse to Public Fund status.
